While we love reflecting on the past year and writing a list of resolutions, our favorite part about New Year’s Eve is the excuse to wear glitter — and lots of it. Below are the glitziest products to wear on December 31st… and add to your permanent makeup collection in 2018.

NYX Glitter Pigments, $6; ulta.com

NYX is known for delivering incredible pigment, and their loose glitter shadows are no exception. With over 20 different shades, you’re bound to find the *perfect* sparkly stuff to match your outfit. Plus, at $6 each, you could stock up on a few different shades for the ultimate glittery mix and match.

IGK Pre Party Strobing Glitter Spray, $16; sephora.com

Okay, so this one isn’t technically makeup, but it’s an absolute must for your inner glitter addict. This hairspray deposits a soft sheen that resembles an iridescent shine — not flaky glitter. Honestly, we could see ourselves spritzing this stuff whenever we need a fun shine boost beyond NYE. Plus, it smells incredible!

Too Faced Pure Gold, $17; toofaced.com

This aptly named loose glitter is infused with actual gold, so it has the power to make you feel *extra* fancy for special occasions. The glitter is incredibly finely milled, so it doesn’t look chunky or tacky. Plus, it’s super buildable and can be used all over the face. Basically, it's a hard GO on the monochromatic gold makeup looks for NYE (and throughout 2018!)

Kat Von D Everlasting Glimmer Veil Liquid Lipstick, $22; sephora.com

These liquid lipsticks are ideal if you’re anticipating a kiss once the ball drops. They literally last...and last (we had to scrub to get ‘em off!) Most importantly, they come in 9 glittery shades, ranging from traditional red to bright teal.

Touch In Sol Metalist Liquid Foil Finish, $25; sephora.com

If you simply *cannot* get enough of the shiny stuff, why not layer glitter with its shiny cousin, metallics? Touch In Sol’s double-ended eyeshadow features an incredibly opaque metallic cream eyeshadow on one end and a corresponding glitter pigment on the other. Talk about a match made in shiny heaven!

NARS Wanted Palette, $59; narscosmetics.com

The latest palette from NARS features a bevy of sparkling champagnes and shimmery reds that are perfect for sparkly NYE eye looks (and we promise you’ll get good use from this palette well into 2018). Rusty reds are shaping up to be the new classic smokey eye for 2018, so this is the perfect way to hop on the trend before it blows up.
