We think it’s fair to say that we’ve all been lacking some fashion inspiration lately. Let’s face it, you’ve probably been wearing the same tie-dye set for months, after you changed out of the same shirt that you wear for every Zoom meeting, and you’re ready to switch things up. Well, lucky for you, there’s a world of influencers, DIY projects, and outfit ideas right at your fingertips and on your phone. Here’s how you can use your favorite social media apps to revamp, revitalize, and reimagine your wardrobe.

Instagram

If you’re as addicted to online shopping as we are, chances are you get a lot of clothing ads on Instagram. After scrolling through a countless number of boots, handbags, and asymmetric jeans, eventually, you’re bound to want to buy something. While the overwhelming amount of ads on the social media app, yes, can be annoying, you might spot something from a small store or boutique that you never knew existed. You can also shop items straight from your favorite fashion influencers in order to recreate looks they’ve worn. If you want to get really creative, try saving multiple pieces to different collections in order to create your own unique outfit. So, what are you waiting for? You’re probably going to be spending all day on Instagram anyways, so you might as well give in to the urge and snag something straight from Insta.

Pinterest

From creating wedding boards when we were 13 to imagining the wardrobe of our dreams, if you didn’t know it before, now you do: Pinterest is BACK and we could not be more thrilled. We could spend hours curating outfit ideas for any and every occasion without ever getting bored (pun intended). Pinterest is great for outfit inspiration whether you want to recreate a look from one of your favorite early 2000s rom-coms, try something new, or if you’re just completely out of ideas, this app is the answer to all of your prayers. Since we all have multiple different personalities when it comes to our personal style, try creating different boards to match all of your moods and aesthetics from cottage-core to “Clueless.”

Tik Tok

Between Tik Tok’s algorithm that can make anyone the next Charli D’Amelio and the meticulously curated FYPs, Tik Tok is the perfect app to find new influencers and style-casters. Fashion Tik Tok, creators cover everything from where to find the best sales to the perfect clothes for transitioning from summer to fall. Better yet, round up some of your favorite looks and inspire others to get out of their style rut. Try imagining what your favorite TV show characters would wear if they got to raid your closet, or how you could DIY and restore an old pair of sweats. If you’re still having trouble finding inspiration on Tik Tok, you can always follow our founder, Caroline Vazzana, for all the latest Carrie Bradshaw outfit recreations, styling tips, and so much more.
