Traveling is a great way to get some stress off your chest while providing the chance to make new memories that you’ll never forget. The United States has a lot of places that you are able to visit for a very budget friendly amount whether you are on the East coast, West coast, or right in the middle! From rock climbing in Joshua Tree, California to enjoying a freakshake from Black Tap in New York City, these are perfect examples of a mini vacation you can take with either someone special or a group of friends. While international borders may still be tough to cross at the moment, the beaches, sightseeing, and amazing food right in the USA offer fun and affordable mini getaways.

California

California offers amazing weather and a range of terrains. For those who love camping, Joshua Tree is a protected area in Southern California where it is hot during the day and cold once the stars come out. If you are looking to go surfboarding in the Pacific Ocean, camping in the desert, or snowboarding in Tahoe, California is worth every penny and an Airbnb will average you around $55 per person so get a group of friends together and explore California this summer! Of course, there’s Los Angeles and San Francisco but a city trip may run you a bit more in Airbnb and hotel costs.

Florida

Florida offers its popular beaches to anyone for free – and you can’t beat that! Whether you are visiting a friend or family member for a break or grab a hotel in South Beach with some friends, you can enjoy and catch the rays under the warm sun. Not only are there beaches and clubs but the culture is very well alive adapting Cuban culture in the city of Miami. Flights to Florida range at different times of the year but some have been as low as $125 round trip from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida, for example.

Maine

Nature is Earths’ beauty and at Acadia Park in Maine, your mouth will surely drop. The scenery involves moose, bears,  and whales that stretch over 47,000 acres with the Atlantic ocean and provide breathtaking rocky beaches and glorious sunsets. Whether you’re camping or getting an Airbnb with a group of friends, per night could average you only $40 or less!

Massachusetts

We’ve all heard of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City but Boston has its own show-stopping museums and historical hot spots. Spend the day learning something new then head over to Buddy's Bakery and pick up a cannoli or two to make it a real Boston vacation!

New York

The list goes on and on for New York, whether you want to live like a local for a few days or sit on the Met steps and live your Gossip Girl fantasy. If you go with friends, you can score an Airbnb for about $50 a night per person. Whether you go shopping on Fifth Avenue or enjoy the plethora of food options, you won’t be disappointed.

Oregon

With waterfalls, dense green forests, and quirky attractions, Oregon is popular state to visit during any time of the year. It has many protected national parks where you could camp at and enjoy nature's clean crisp air. Portland is the capital that attracts tourists from all over. Not only is Oregon calling all donut lovers (hello, Voodoo Donuts) but has a reputation for its great beer with many breweries to check out.
