You know you love him; Stylist, Eric Daman, has been creating scene stealing looks for TV favorites such as Gossip Girl, Billions, Astronaut Wives Club, The Carrie Diaries, and more since the early 2000’s and he’s not stopping now. From the beginning of his TV fashion career as an Assistant Costume Designer on Sex and The City to his work with the new HBO Max Gossip Girl reboot, Daman has cemented himself as fashion royalty. Take a look at some of his most iconic looks below.

Blair Waldorf’s Oscar De La Renta Gown

The iconic Paris train station scene in the original Gossip Girl series is not only famous because of the Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass storyline, but also because of the fan favorite dress that is the star of the scene. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Daman said, “I was walking past Bergdorf Goodman and I saw this beautiful Oscar De La Renta gown, and I just had this immediate connection that it was the gown that Blair needed to wear in the train station scene.”

Carrie Bradshaw’s Every-Girl School Ensembles

During his work on The Carrie Diaries, Daman wanted to create looks that viewers could relate to at home. In this look, he paired two items from Urban Outfitters to create a memorable Carrie-esc look for the school hallways. In an interview with Fashionista.com, Daman revealed that he could relate to the process of finding Carrie’s style, “I really pulled on my past because I had a really similar thing I was trying to deal with--I was trying to find this element of personal style. And Carrie is all about this idiosyncratic, individual style.”

Wendy Rhoades Iconic Silhouette

Clothing can make or break a character’s personality, and for Daman it is a driving factor into how he styles his characters. When discussing with The Hollywood Reporter about how he constructed Wendy Rhoades style on Billions, Daman noted that he focused on aspects close to the character, “Going into it I wanted to give her a streamlined, architectural — almost a body-con look but in an elevated way. Roland Mouret was kind of my inspiration dress, it has design features that are elegant and sexy and also very business and no nonsense, like Wendy is.”

His Use of Color on The Astronaut Wives Club

There is always a story behind Character’s wardrobes, and Daman’s work on The Astronaut Wives Club is no exception. With the show being set in the 1960’s, he made sure to connect characters to the story with carefully chosen color palettes, fun accessories, and nods to pop culture at the time. Talking with Fashionista.com, Daman said, “Through that they learned how to dress and navigate the media and put their best foot — and designer shoe forward — as they went through it. Wardrobe helps follow that journey and really shows how each of them grow later in the ‘60s.”
