Along with a change of seasons comes a change in trends. We’re saying hello to the Autumn/Winter season and to all the fun prints, colors, patterns and details it has to offer. We’re sharing with you our five favorite trends of the season, so read on, and imagine how you could rock one (or all) of these styles!

Too often, pants are overlooked as the mere “safe” part of the outfit: black slacks, blue jeans, and all things basic. This fall, try on a pair of pants with some power—and patterns! This season is all about having fun with your look and making a statement. Big flare bottoms and silhouettes from the ‘60s and ‘70s are back with a vengeance, and we’re here for it.

Red is showing up in so many different ways this season. Deep, bold shades of rusty, spicy red are out and about everywhere you look. Try adding a pop of red to a neutral outfit via a cozy shacket or oversized sweater. The best part? You can even match your lip color to the shade you choose!

One of the ways to keep the cottagecore trend going well into fall is the use of statement collars. They’re dainty and feminine and add the perfect touch of softness to your favorite fall outfit. Whether it’s part of your dress or the neckline of a jacket, an exaggerated collar is a pristine finishing touch.

Vests—and yes, sweater vests—are back again this fall! Don’t be afraid of textures of knit pieces, leather, or even denim. One this season’s takes is that they’re super fun to style as a shirt by themselves, but they always pair nicely with a brightly-colored or printed collared shirt underneath — bonus points if yours doubles as a dress!

It’s time to channel your inner Marcia Brady by donning an ultra-mini skirt! Hem lines are getting higher, sending us straight back to the 1970’s! Solid prints with detailed piping (like this dress from our own Caroline Vazzana’s collection!) allow you to coordinate with some fun retro-inspired accessories; but of course, don’t underestimate the power of a fun floral print either!
