New York based jewelry designer Shahla Karimi has partnered with Kenneth Cole on a nine piece capsule collection. Karimi's jewelry and creative process is deeply rooted in human psychology, so each piece she creates has a special meaning. Her delicate and feminine designs have become favorites among celebrities and her new collection with Kenneth Cole is a reflection of her subway series. The designs trace the walking path along The Bowery from the East Village to China Town. So for any real New Yorker, this collection is a must-have and something every women needs in her jewelry box. And good news, the collection just launched yesterday, September 15th, and is available exclusively at Kenneth Cole's Bowery location, so you shouldn't have any trouble snagging a piece of your own. See below for an exclusive quote Shahla Karimi gave to Making it in Manahttan about her collaboration, and check out a few of our favorite pieces from the collection below.
Kenneth Cole is a brand I align myself with - they are socially conscious and have always embodied the New York vibe. I think it’s cool and disruptive that they have tapped New York-based designers to offer an elevated price point at the Bowery Concept store. I wanted to create something that kept with my brand promise of honoring personal journey's and while still celebrating the journey of KC and NYer’s alike. The pieces trace the walking path from the start of the Bowery in the East Village to China Town. The Bowery has been a hub for NY culture since the 70’s, from Punk and Music to Museums
